Andrew Carroll

Andrew Carroll- Pilates Instructor

Andrew Carroll BSc(Hons), PGCE(S)
Andy is a retired Policeman and former secondary school teacher.
Andy has always had an interest in sport and his first sports included rugby, cross country running and cycle racing, mainly on the Highland games circuit.
The first sport he became qualified to coach was squash whilst undergoing his teacher training.
During his time living in England he took up triathlon and has taken part in more than 100 multi-sport events.
Triathlon eventually gave way to rock climbing and ultra-marathon running.
As a qualified swim coach he has helped coach children at three swimming clubs. He is also qualified to teach Krav Maga and KAPAP and has travelled internationally to train at these sports.
Andy believes that Pilates is for absolutely everyone and that it is never too late to start.  Rehabilitation and sports are two of his particular interests in Pilates.  He has run Pilates sessions for the veterans at Dundee Therapy Garden which required extra consideration to adapting Pilates exercises for those who cannot lie down or carry out some movements.
